The principle of laser welding
With laser welding, the same or different materials are joined without and with additional material.
In contrast to conventional methods of welding technology, welding with the pulsed laser directs controlled heat to the work piece.
The following welding methods are possible:
- Point welding – with a single pulse
- Seam welding – with overlapping laser pulse
- CW welding
To enable the optimum distribution of the heat and to optimize the weld metal, we use both special pulse forms and also suitable special optics such as ring optics, bifocal optics, rotating optics and scanners.
We have welding experience with the following identical and different materials:
- High alloyed steels
- Tungsten, molybdenum
- Tantalum, nickel
- Aluminum alloys
- Copper alloys
- Titanium alloys
